The founders of ARMADILLO Electronics have been involved, for many years with the design and supply of LEDs into many applications starting with Automotive Brake Light Clusters in the 1980s using Hewlett Packard and Toshiba High Brightness Red LED's (so next time your sat behind a bus with LED brake lights - that was us !).

Many other applications have built LED into a safety conscious product, where high efficiency and reliability of constant light must be achieved. Overhead Motorway signs contain huge quantities of LED, we read them and are guided by them every day without a second thought. Many new traffic signalling and awareness roadside signs are moving to LED.
